Our iOS and Android SDKs provide a single solution to app developers looking to utilise location data. They enable indoor navigation, geofencing, push notifications, and location analytics. Our technology is designed to work continually, tracking users while apps are in ‘background’.

We use GPS, wifi and cellular position from the operating system outdoors. And Bluetooth beacons, Wifi signal strengths, Wifi RTT and inertial data indoors. The indoor positioning system is capable of 2m - 5m accuracy with minimal infrastructure. Only a lightweight beacon installation is needed.

The location SDK is fully integrated with Colocator, a cloud-based location data store and processing platform. Full location data histories are retained as long as they are needed. It’s got API’s, but it’s also an end-end solution. You can deliver an advanced location-based solution, and build as much or as little as you like.

Our iOS and Android Location SDKs are designed to be as easy as possible to integrate. We support common dependency tools like cocoapods, carthage and gradle. We minimise our own dependencies, and allow the dependency frameworks to handle them.

Dynamic Configuration

Dynamic Configuration

Everything our SDK does is dynamically and remotely activated and configured. Our back-end can activate the SDK only for a specific time-range. If users aren’t near a region of interest, then infrequent, approximate locations are gathered in an energy-efficient way. When bluetooth or beacons are being used, scanning can be enabled only in relevant locations.

The SDK isn’t tied to one single technology. Outdoors we use fused location from the OS. Indoors we use our own Sail Indoor Positioning solution. Sail uses Bluetooth beacons and needs no calibration or fingerprinting. Where available it can also use WiFi RTT. And as WiFi 802.11az and 5G location come on stream, the SDK will leverage these new technologies.
