CM.com, a global leader in cloud software for conversational commerce that enables businesses to deliver a superior customer experience, has renewed and extended its partnership with Crowd Connected.

A leading provider of indoor and outdoor positioning, location analytics, customer engagement, asset tracking and personnel tracking, Crowd Connected’s solution is integrated into Appmiral mobile app platform.

CM.com is headquartered in Breda, Netherlands and operates with local presence across 23 countries, CM.com acquired Belgian-based Appmiral in November 2021, enabling it to enhance its services to the live events market segment. UK-based Crowd Connected first powered Appmiral apps with location services in 2017.

Beginning this month, the new long-term partnership structure will enable CM.com to create and invest in new commercial opportunities that drive long-term growth and support its wider strategy.

This includes adding indoor positioning capabilities to its mobile apps – showcased at ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag), Europe’s high-profile annual live music showcase festival and conference. CM.com was last month announced as ESNS’s multi-year mobile technology partner.

Crowd Connected and CM.com will jointly develop best-in-class new location-based functionality to further enhance and amplify the CM.com mobile app proposition. Additionally, the two companies will explore further opportunities to expand the relationship.

Crowd Connected’s technology delivers indoor and outdoor positioning that continually self-calibrates using machine learning so it always works, with no fingerprinting or manual calibration. This means it is simple to deploy and is particularly suited to live events where time is at a premium.

Location awareness connects digital apps to real-world experiences. Whether it’s a conference, exhibition, airshow or music festival, visitors need to navigate events seamlessly. And organisers need to completely understand visitor behaviour and personalise communications.

Robin Van den Bergh, Managing Director of Appmiral, said: “Crowd Connected has been a cornerstone of our mobile app platform and I am delighted that we are taking the partnership to the next level. This will benefit our existing and new customers alike while helping us open up a whole new range of opportunities.”

Mark Maydon, Commercial Director at Crowd Connected, said: “Appmiral has been a valued partner for almost six years. We’ve quickly built a hugely promising relationship with the CM.com team who share our vision of how location-aware apps can transform live events and venues. We’re genuinely excited to extend the partnership.”
