We have been busy bees these past few months. We can’t mention it all, so we’ve collated some of the highlights to give you a jist of what we’ve been up to!

Coachella

We’re hugely proud of our long-standing partnership with AEG Presents' US festivals portfolio. And particularly Coachella – arguably the most famous music festival in the world and certainly one of the most commercially successful, with this year’s gates topping 125,000 per day, over 6 days.

Returning to California in April after a 2-year COVID-enforced hiatus, it’s the 5th time organisers have licensed our software, embedded into the official Coachella mobile app, provided by Aloompa.

Invictus Games

2022 continues to be a year of notable firsts for Crowd Connected. And one of those is our involvement with the 5th Invictus Games, presented by Jaguar Land Rover, which took place in The Hague, The Netherlands in May.

We’re delighted that our location software, integrated into the official app for the Games developed by our partner Appmiral, helped to elevate the fan experience while providing organisers TIG Sports with real-time insights into crowd behaviour.

CWIEME

Our location technology was rolled out at CWIEME - the world’s leading Coil Winding & Electrical Manufacturing Exhibition. Ian Tomson-Smith was our man on the ground at Messe Berlin, setting up our indoor position system and working with our partner Grip to provide visitors with an indoor map and enhanced experience, and alongside Benchmark Collective, who brought home the rebook with the help of our Bluebird footfall counters tool.

All Energy

We enjoyed a wee trip to Glasgow in May for RX Global’s All-Energy Dcarbonise expo and conference, which reunited the renewable and low-carbon community in force at the fantastic Scottish Event Campus (SEC). Our indoor positioning system SDK was integrated in the Grip mobile app to provide indoor navigation and customer footfall analytics.

Roche 125th Anniversary Celebration

We were delighted to help Roche, the multinational healthcare company, celebrate their 125th year anniversary, as they put on their own private festival for staff and families at their headquarters site in Basel, Switzerland over a sunny May weekend. It was a lot of fun with ferris wheels and stages lighting up the skyline alongside their iconic buildings. Thanks to Appmiral for easily integrating our software into their brilliant digital app.

Hangout 2022

We kicked off our summer of fun at The Hangout Music Festival - an annual three-day music festival held at the public beaches of the Alabama Gulf Coast mid May. The huge line-up of just about every music genre gave a sneak peek to what’s coming this summer in the United States. Great to work with AEG Presents on the festival app which sent fans push messages based on their location to help plan their day and keep them in-the-know.

Rock am Ring and Rock im Park

After two years of “Coronapause”, the legendary twin festivals were back with a bang on the first weekend in June in Nurenburg, Germany. Crowd Connected’s location technology was integrated into the Appmiral mobile app, enabling festival goers to find their way around the site and not miss any of the action.

Money2020

It was great to be back in Amsterdam at the RAI for this year’s Money2020 Europe, where the fintech community gather to shop and share ideas. Crowd Connected’s indoor positioning tech enabled in-app blue dot navigation and location-based messaging for delegates, plus exhibitor performance metrics and other show-wide analytics for organiser Ascential. Set-up took less than a day - with a team of 4 armed with 2 ipads. No complex configuration, no convoluted calibration.

There’s no time for a rest as we steamroll into a busy summer of events, partnerships, outdoor and indoor positioning projects and permanent deployments, which we’ll update you on next time. In the meantime, follow us on LinkedIn to keep track of where we’ll be and when!
