Crowd Connected, Colocator and GDPR

We have recently reviewed and updated our documentation in compliance with requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), the EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union, which will apply in all EU member states from 25 May 2018.

We have also audited our third-party suppliers who count as data processors to satisfy ourselves that, to the extent required, they are providing relevant contractual undertakings in relation to GDPR.

Prospective and existing partners and customers may be interested in the following documents, which are linked to below:

Crowd Connected’s Colocator Technology and GDPR sets out how our Colocator location intelligence software collects, processes and stores data for the provision of location-based services. This includes exactly what data we collect, process and store, and whether this data constitutes ‘personal data’ under GDPR.

Further detail of how Crowd Connected complies more broadly GDPR can be found in our accompanying explanatory guide How Crowd Connected Complies with GDPR.

Here’s our updated Data Security Policy.

We’ve made a small number of updates to our standard terms and conditions of supply, specifically in section 5 (Data Collection and Privacy). These now explicitly reference a new addition to our Ts&Cs, the Data Processing Addendum, which is mandated under GDPR.

Finally, we’ve updated our Privacy Policy for our website.
